If You Don’t Do This When Trading Options, You’re Outta Luck

Are you a bang for your buck trader? Meaning you love the leverage you get with options and want to make a more money with less money when your favorite stock runs up?

Or are you a slow and steady trader who doesn’t care about the leverage and are more concerned with options expiring worthless than market direction?

Most traders are usually one or the other.  However, there are small group of traders (less than 20%) that think just a little bit differently.

These types of traders are hybrid directional/time traders, or what I like to call Rich Options Jerks. They think about options trading in ways that most traders haven’t learned before, yet their strategies are so simple and straightforward.

You need to remember that options are a zero sum game. This means that every time you place a trade, there is a winner and a loser. If you lose a dollar, that means someone else made a dollar. It’s just how the system works.

The question boils down to whether you want to be a rich options trader or a poor options trader.

Of course, all of us want to profit when trading, so it makes sense to want to be a rich options trader. Unfortunately, more than 80% of those trades will end up trading like they’re poor. It’s not for lack of trying either.

I bet you’re scratching your head thinking then why would someone want to be rich, work hard, and not get there.

It’s simple. It’s not necessarily the techniques or how hard someone works, it’s the way a trader thinks about options that affects whether they become a Rich Options Jerk or a Poor Options Jerk.

Do you want to be the 20% that has what it takes to be a Rich Options Jerk?
