One of the original Market Wizards, Anthony Saliba, was first on episode 107. That episode, we mostly chatted about his life as a trader and other related topics. However, we didn’t get to talk too much in depth about his live as an investor and a parallel entrepreneur.
I decided to reach out to Anthony to see if we can chat more about this on today’s episode. It’s actually something I’m really excited to dive into much more. That’s because his success is due to more than just his trading skills alone.
For example, Anthony founded LiquidPoint which is an options execution and technology firm. It was sold for a sum of mid nine-figures in 2007. Let’s not forget that he also has invested in at least 100 companies in a wide variety of verticals. He also owns shopping centers, golf resort and other real estate properties.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg folks. Make sure you check out today’s episode.
What’s Covered in This Interview:
- How Anthony’s trading success was in many ways a stepping stone towards better opportunities.
- The mindset Anthony had to develop when trading options.
- Anthony’s thoughts on the steps to take after a trader reaches consistency and the likelihood that an independent trader is able to get generational wealth just from trading alone.
- How traders can differentiate between what’s will distract them and a worthwhile opportunity. This also includes the key to time efficiency and how to definitively separate active and passive investments.
- Do entrepreneurs need to take huge risks in order to make money?
- Anthony’s risky bet which ended up costing him millions of dollars, and his best advice for those who may be entering into a partnership.
- Some interesting case studies of recent investments Anthony’s made, lump sum gains versus consistent income streams and established companies versus early stage startups.
